Bruce was raised in Cape Town and after studying at the University of Cape Town joined Standard bank (South Africa) whre he was employed for seven years. He held position of Regional Business Manager of the Factoring Division before joining the Baord of Executors as a senior member to the structured finance team. During this time he furthered his knowledge of finance by writing various tax courses and completing an Honours Degree. In New Zealand Bruce worked briefly for Hanover Group before joining Matrix Funding Groups as their Senior Portfolio Manager, responsbile for business development and management of the companys $550 million property loan book. Bruce has been operating as a commerical finance broker since 2006.

Bachelor or Commerce (University of Cape Town)
Honors Degree in Financial Analysis and Portfolio Management
