Where to start…

Step 1 – find out what you can afford to buy and what you can afford to repay

Finding out what you can afford to buy is generally based on the deposit you have, in most situations we are able to arrange loans up to 95% of the purchase price of a residential property providing it is supported by a registered valuation, and that’s no problem we can arrange a valuation for you.

We have also helped people finance their first home with little or no deposit, with the assistance of parents or relatives so don’t hesitate to chat this through with one of our experienced advisers.

What you can afford to repay and what you are comfortable repaying on your mortgage are two very different things, our Mortgage People consultants are trained to very quickly answer this question for you. Use our calculator to establish the repayments but please call or email one of our consultants because everyone’s situation is different and remember our service is free.

Step 2 – arrange your finance

Mortgage People an arrange pre approved finance for you at the best possible rate and on the best possible terms and we can sometimes get a contribution towards your legal fees. We will also talk to your real estate agent and solicitor to make sure everything runs smoothly and the money is there for you.

Step 3 – organise settlement, move in and enjoy

Making sure you are ready for settlement is easy when you use Mortgage People. We will coordinate the real estate agent, lender and your solicitor so come settlement date the mortgage documents have been signed and the money is ready. We also have a check list so when you move nothing is left to chance like transferring the power, phone, gas, or organizing the dog, cat and children!
